Feeling like your face is looking a bit..chubby? Has the dreaded double chin suddenly crept up on you? Want to slim down your nose? Thanks to make up contouring & highlighting, you can slim down your problem areas and highlight your features that you want to flaunt. The Tools:
- Bronzer (preferably non-shimmery) or you can use a powder foundation that's at least 1-2 shades darker than your skintone. Some people also like to use eyeshadows & concealers. I find using bronzers or powder foundations work the best and are less messy.
- Shimmery powder.
- An angled blush brush.
- Practice!
Tips & Tricks to Contouring & Highlighting :
- The most common place to contour on the face in under the cheekbones. To contour under your cheekbones, suck in your cheeks (making a fish face) and apply the bronzer into the hollows of cheeks. Apply the bronzer on an angle in an upward motion. Blend out any harsh lines with a larger brush.
- Disguise that dreaded double chin by applying bronzer underneath your jawline.
- To make your forehead look more narrower, apply bronzer to either sides of your forehead or the temples.
- To make your nose more narrower, apply bronzer to the sides of your nose.
- Running short on time? Create the illusion of contouring by applying blush on your cheekbones on an angle.
- Apply a highlight color on your cheekbones as well as to the bridge of your nose.
- You can also apply a highlight color on your browbone (even on days where you don't wear eyeshadows) for an instant brow lift.
