I get a lot of emails concerning ARTISTRY/ARTISTRY Essentials Cosmetics especially, their foundations. I'm a huge fan of their foundations & it's the only foundations I'll use on my clients (not unless they want me to use their brand of foundations which happens sometimes). ARTISTRY/ARTISTRY Essentials offers 6 different types of foundations that range from powder, mineral, tinted moisturiser, aging/dry skin, minimal coverage, & my favorite, oil-control. Absolute Oil-Control foundation helps reduce shine & minimizes the appearance of pores and other imperfection. It's also enriched with Vitamin E & acerola cherry compand as well as SPF 15. This foundation is light weight & gives a nice matte finish which I really love. It's last throughout the day & doesn't rub off as easily as some foundations. I like to set it with either NYC Translucent Powder, MAC MSF's, or using ARTISTRY Essentials Mineral Foundations with a powder brush. ARTISTRY Absolute Oil-Control Foundations comes in 17 different shades & retails for $24. It's a small price to pay for foundation that keeps oil & shine at bay.

I'm not normally a dark or heavily pigmented lip color person, but for some reason this season I've been all about them! My current favorite is Artistry Essentials Lip Shine in Vivacious. It's a berry/red wine color with no shimmer. It goes on sheer (it's not really too sheer, still has great color pay off after one swipe), but you can build up the color which I love (picture on the right). It's a great color for both light & darker skinned women. I love to use this lip shine with simple eyes (winged black eyeliner + Ardell #117 lashes) & rosy cheeks.

I had the opportunity to do makeup for Marliece & her bridal party a couple weeks ago. She by far was one of the most nicest brides I've ever worked with! It was refreshing to work with her & her bridal party. I have more pictures on digital camera, but since that's acting up, I have to settle showing pictures my sister took on her phone. Sorry for the quality, I'll try to post better pictures soon!

Foundation: Artistry Absolute Oil-Control Foundation in Ebony

I did a gold/bronze look & kicked up look with some demi #120 lashes. I used a dark rosy red blush on her cheeks & lastly, gave her a neutral lip.

I did a peachy/light bronze look on her & instead of using a black liner, I wanted to soften up the look with a dark brown eyeliner + eyeshadow. For blush, I used a peachy color & for her lips, I did a light mauve color.

For Salina, I used a lighter shade of gold & used a light bronze eyeshadow on her crease. Used a rosy color on cheeks & for her lips, I did a neutral color.

As you already now, not only am I a full time make-up artist & business owner, I'm also a Beauty Consultant for Artistry Beauty. This is why I'm SO excited to see my brand coming to the Women's Show at the IX Center this weekend! On the tour bus, there will be a spa area & a product sampling lounge to sample the many skincare & cosmetics Artistry has to offer. I might even get to my makeup done by one of the Artistry MUA's! I'm always doing everyone elses makeup, it would be nice get my own makeup down for the very first time. Hopefully, they will showcase the new Ideal Transculent Pressed Powder, Concealer Stick, & the Ideal Dual Powder Foundation.
